Bio

Tyler Muzzin
I began working with ideas of Ecological Literacy during my MFA in Fine Arts at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta. As my practice shifted outside, so did my pedagogy. To me, Ecological Literacy is an expanded understanding of reading our environment and critically thinking about where we fit in as ecological citizens.

In leadership roles, I've found that being outside is the greatest remedy for the technological alienation many young people are experiencing today. I encourage all stakeholders in our future to consider outdoor learning, not as an "alternative," but as an authentic approach to education and healthy development.
